Man United Should Dump Marouane Fellaini
Marouane Fellaini has came out and made an interesting statement regarding his contract situation at Manchester United:
“The entire staff is doing everything [so] I can stay,”
“The club did not renew my contract last year. Now I am in a strong position, especially since Mourinho has stated that he wants to keep me.”
“Last year I went to the coach and I said that I wanted a new contract. I then had a second meeting, but I will not ask it 10 times.”“Afterwards I became important for the team… and a good player costs at least 50m euros. The club knows that they went wrong there.”
“I am now 30 years old, at the end of my contract and negotiating with Manchester United,”
“There are several clubs that show interest. I’m waiting for what’s going to happen.”
If true, then that statement is at odds with Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho who had earlier stated a deal was in place for the Belgian to remain at Old Trafford.
Personally, I’d be more inclined to let Fellaini leave for nothing. He has basically called the club out and almost embarrassed his coach, that’s a very odd thing to do for a squad player.
Now I know Jose likes the big midfielder and he can add a different dimension to a game but you can’t allow him to hold the club to ransom and then also slate the way the club do their business.
He hasn’t really been used that much this season (four starts/eleven substitute appearances in the Premier League). He has scored four goals but he hasn’t made an assist this season.
He gets stuck in and can be useful in both boxes but he’s not as needed with Romelu Lukaku in the side. His fellow Belgian on average has a better ratio when it comes to aerial duels this term.
Surely there are better and younger options out there for Man United, players that are hungry to prove themselves and who can also add more to the team as a whole.
Looking at his quotes, Fellaini seems to believe he has United over a barrel and I just can’t believe that’s true.

Liverpool getting Keita, Manchester City getting Jorginho, Atletico Madrid getting Fabinho whilst we’re begging Marouane Fellaini to sign a new contract. Life isn’t fair sometimes. http://tipsgain.com/
