Teams Of The Year So Far
I have decided for a bit of fun to look at the season so far and see who would make my teams of the year at this stage in English Premier League and Serie A. Then I will do it again at the end of the season and see who if anyone still remains there come May. All teams will be in a 4-3-3 formation.
EPL
- Brad Friedel (Tottenham)
- Phil Jones (Man Utd)
- Jose Enrique (Liverpool)
- Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle)
- Vincent Kompany (Man City)
- Yaya Toure (Man City)
- Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
- David Silva (Man City)
- Sergio Aguero (Man City)
- Robin Van Persie (Arsenal)
- Juan Mata (Chelsea)
Serie A
- Samir Handanovic (Udinese)
- Ignazio Abate (AC Milan)
- Federico Balzaretti (Palermo)
- Thiago Siva (AC Milan)
- Danilo (Udinese)
- Gokhan Inler (Napoli)
- Hernanes (Lazio)
- Claudio Marchisio (Juventus)
- Alessandro Matri (Juventus)

Can’t comment on the Serie A team but I’d have maybe gone for Vorm in goal for EPL, got to wonder how well he would be doing in a stronger team. Beyond that agree with the selection.
Vorm is a great shout, I also thought Krul at Newcastle for the no.1 spot.
I’d have Vorm over Krul and Friedel and Cabaye instead of Suarez. Covering myself against accusations of bias 😉
I actually had a debate with myself over Toure or Cabaye… I won lol
