In the last week I managed to make a trip down to Manchester with my fiancee and her teenage nephew, who is a Manchester City fan.

That gave me the chance to take him to the Etihad Stadium and enjoy the club tour.

Unfortunately we couldn’t go pitch-side or visit the managerial technical areas as the stadium is getting a bit of a summer makeover that will see the capacity rise to 55,000.

Our tour guide was pleasant and we still got plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the arena such as a corporate box, media room and the changing room.
