Dusan Vlahovic Could Fire Arsenal Back Into The Champions League!
Last night’s win over fellow Londoners West Ham United propelled Arsenal back into the Premier League’s top four positions.
The Gunners used to be mainstays in the Champions League competition but they’ve been missing for a few seasons now.
Looking at the league table, you’ll see that Arsenal are still having an issue when it comes to scoring goals. With just twenty-three goals to their name, The Gunners are the least effective in front of goal when it comes to the top six in England.
The recent issues with recently stripped captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang won’t help that particular situation (Source – Arsenal.com).
If boss Mikel Arteta stands any chance of keeping the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at bay and hold onto that vital fourth position in the Premier League standings then he might need to see his board spend big and bring in a goalscorer during this upcoming winter transfer window.
One name that has continually caught the eye in the past eighteen months has been that of Dušan Vlahović who has been lighting up Tuscany with his great goalscoring record at ACF Fiorentina.
In his ninety-four league appearances for The Viola, the Serbian has recorded an astonishing forty-two goals. This season alone has seen him grab fifteen in just seventeen Serie A outings.
Dušan looks like he’s made from marble but he doesn’t just stand around like a majestic Michelangelo statue. He has obvious strength and can battle with opposing defenders but he also has good feet and a burst of pace too. He’s a forward that keeps his composure inside the box and is also terrific in the air (Whoscored state he win over 2 aerial battles per game).
Vlahović possesess a terrific left foot and he can find the back of the net from range as well as from close distance. He’s a player that can come deep, go out wide or stay in and around the penalty area.
Before this term started former Italian hitman Christian Vieri claimed Dušan was one of the best for his age and tipped him to hit new scoring heights this season:
“Vlahovic, after Haaland, is the best striker in Europe for his age,”
“He is a top striker and will score 20 goals easily next season.”

The twenty-one year old looks to have the skill-set and the confidence that would see him shine in England’s top flight. His combative style, alongside his nose for goals could rejuvenate The Gunners attack and give them a real focal point.
The attacking all-rounder has recently rejected a new contract offer from Fiorentina (Daily Mail) and that will just see interest in his signature increase.
Top teams will be circling The Stadio Artemio Franchi waiting to pounce on this Serbian scoring sensation.
Many might not fancy Arsenal winning this race as Europe’s elite join the chase and maybe the player himself is one of those doubters.
But it is up to the likes of Edu and more of Arsenal’s supremos to prove to Dušan Vlahović that the club are on their way back up under Mikel Arteta and with him leading the line then they can get back into the grandest European competition and challenging for silverware again!
